Highway 25-E is now a National Scenic Byway

I missed this yesterday when reporting that the Forest Heritage Scenic Byway in NC received a new designation, but Highway 25-E in Tennessee was also named a National Scenic Byway on Friday as well.

Highway 25/E in Kentucky, also known as the Wilderness Road Heritage Highway that stretches from Berea, Kentucky to the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park, is already designated as a National Scenic Byway. Friday's announcement continues the Byway south along Highway 25/E to the Cherokee National Forest in Cocke County, Tennessee.

The new Byway in Tennessee is also known as the East Tennessee Crossings Byway.
