Boy Scout recalls escape from bear’s jaws

No one dared get out of his tent, until they heard Aaron screaming.

"I knew it was him," his brother said. "But I wasn't sure if he was just freaking out."

Another adult with the troop, Mark Motley of Sycamore Township (Cincinnati), sprang from his tent.

In the day's first light, about 5:30 a.m., he stood on the other side of Aaron's collapsed tent as a 150-pound black bear stood "munching" on what Motley feared was Aaron's head.
